There is a config commented out in the httpd.conf that enables userdir html directories. 

Uncomment that. Create an htdocs folder in the user's directory.

i've got an ubuntu II lamp set up and i'd like apache to serve up pages
from a users ~/htdocs (ip.add.re.ss/username in a browser.
i'm a little lost though.
do i do it with virtual hosts?
do i just make another file for it in /etc/apache2/sites-available/  ?
